Heatproof Screed
Vitcas® Heatproof Screed is a cementitious, fire clay material with pre-fired refractory components. It is designed for interior and exterior applications, e.g. screeding masonry and making replacement bricks or repairing existing bricks in fireplaces, industrial kilns and wood burning stoves, etc. Additionally, it is suitable for in-situ repairs.
The heat resistant screed acts as a protective layer for materials which are vulnerable when exposed to heat. It can withstand temperatures reaching 1400oC / 2252oF.
The screed is fully blended and its grains have a maximum size of 5mm. For a trowelling consistency, mix with water.
